2. Overview

Chunkplan Diary is a planning and journaling app for Android. The app was built following the principle of "Privacy by Design": all your data is stored exclusively on your device. No personal data is transmitted to us or to any third parties.

3. What Data Is Processed?

3.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data exclusively on your device:

Tasks and weekly plans (Chunks and Projectable Chunks)
Diary entries (texts, titles, weekly progress)
Sentiment values (satisfaction and clarity as numerical values)
Profile name (if entered by you)
App settings (theme, language, notification times)

This data never leaves your device. We have no access to this data. There is no server, no cloud database, and no synchronization feature.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract — provision of app functionality).

3.2 Export Function

The app offers an export function that allows you to save your data as a ZIP archive via your operating system's standard share dialog. You choose where the file is saved (e.g., Google Drive, local folder, email). The app itself does not establish a direct connection to any cloud services and does not require a login with any third-party providers.

3.3 Notifications

The app can remind you of your daily planning and weekly reflection. These notifications are computed and triggered entirely locally on your device. No push server or external service is used.

4. Data NOT Collected

For clarity: the app does not collect, process, or transmit any of the following data:

No location data
No device identifiers or advertising IDs
No usage statistics or analytics
No crash reports
No data to advertising networks
No payment data
No contacts or address books
No photos, camera, or microphone data

5. Sharing with Third Parties

No personal data is shared with third parties. The app contains no third-party SDKs that collect or transmit data.

6. Data Transfer to Third Countries

No data transfer to third countries takes place, as no data leaves your device.

7. Data Retention

Your data is stored on your device for as long as you use the app. You can delete individual entries at any time or uninstall the app, which permanently removes all locally stored data.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Access (Art. 15 GDPR): Since we have no access to your data, we cannot provide information about stored data. All data is exclusively on your device and directly accessible to you.
Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You can delete individual entries within the app at any time or remove all data by uninstalling the app.
Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:

9. Google Play Store

The app is downloaded via the Google Play Store. Google's own privacy policy applies to the download process. The app itself does not transmit any data to Google beyond the download process.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If there are material changes to data processing, this privacy policy will be updated. The date of the last update can be found at the top of this document.
